Aarnja, Gumbanan, KSBS and Magabala Books among Regional Grant Scheme recipients

Over $1.4 million will be invested in Kimberley projects as part of the latest round of the Regional Grants Scheme, backed by Royalties for Regions.

Member for the Mining and Pastoral Region Dave Grills MLC said the Regional Grants Scheme provided one-off grants to community, public and not for profit organisations to improve and develop infrastructure and services in the region.

"The scheme provides grants of between $50,001 and $300,000 to support regionspecific projects that are driven by local communities," Mr Grills said.

"In total, 13 projects will receive funding as part of the latest round of the Kimberley Regional Grants Scheme, with the projects ranging from tourism promotion in Wyndham to an innovative irrigation project at Noonkanbah Pastoral Station."

"It's great to see funds flowing to communities, large and small, across the region for important, capacity-building projects."
