Advocating for small businesses and family enterprisesWritten on the 25 April 2016 The Office of the Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman has opened a consultation period to find out from small businesses, family enterprises and representative associations what the key issues are when running a business, and what we should focus on as their advocate. While we have some ideas in mind, we need your help to assist us to decide which important issues to get behind. What kind of ideas should I put forward? We have developed a short discussion paper that is aimed at providing some key information about our office and getting the conversation started about what you want from this role. However, you can raise any issue with us that you think we should be working on.How do I submit ideas? Your ideas can be submitted through our online interactive platform called thinkBIGsmallTALK. We encourage you to submit your ideas, vote, and offer practical solutions about what you think can positively shape the Australian small business and family enterprise landscape. How long is the consultation period? The consultation period will run from Friday 15 April 2016 until Thursday 30 June 2016. Source: http://www.asbfeo.gov.au/consultation/advocating-for-sb
