Applications open for 2016 Broome Small Business Awards

Applications are now open for the 2016 Broome Small Business Awards.

Eight category winners will be presented an award at a cocktail evening held at Pearl Luggers on Friday 6 May, and will be automatically nominated for a state award at the WA Regional Small Business Awards later this year.

Small Business Development Corporation CEO, David Eaton, has expressed support for the re-commencement of the Broome Small Business Awards, and is looking forward to meeting the successful businesses at the WA Regional Small Business Awards.

"Local business awards programs are a great opportunity to showcase the contribution that small businesses make to regional Western Australia and going through to contest at the State level is an exciting opportunity for the winners," Mr Eaton said.

Broome Chamber President Rhondda Chappell said, "These awards will provide long overdue recognition of the innovative and successful businesses that are operating in Broome, and offer a fantastic publicity opportunity to showcase Broome  as a great place to do business."

The application process has been designed to be a straight-forward process, with support offered to businesses wanting to apply from the Chamber and Kimberley Small Business Support advisors.  Furthermore the Small Business Development Corporation will be hositng an Awards Ready workshop in Broome at the end of March to ensure nominees receive the best possible opportunity of showcasing their business.
