"Personally it was the most significant, enlightening, powerful thing I have been privy to in my 6.5 years in Broome. This 'new' attitude & awareness will flow on to my professional life. The content obviously has many untold levels & complexities which I will continue to be open minded, aware & appreciative of. There has been some feeling of shame when confronted with my obvious ignorance! I am forever changed and will continue to learn. Thank you x " said one of the attendees, who found the workshop to be insightful and informative.BCCI Working Together program, which is delivered by the Regional Chamber of Commerce and funded by the Department of Training and Workforce Development, is a dedicated service with a focus on providing information and advice to business owners and operators in the West Kimberley to attract, recruit and retain young ABoriginal employees. With a clearer understanding of indigenous youth in our local community, it is anticipated that local businesses will have more success in dealing with the complexities of both traditional and modern culture our youth are faced with today.
