Broome Transit launches Brooba: Broome's first car booking App

Broome Transit has officially launched Broome's first car booking app, Brooba.

The easiest way to book a taxi in Boome, Brooba allows the user to instantly order or pre-book a car.  For groups it also facilitates multiple bookings.  Once ordered the user will receive notifications when the vehicle is en-route or when the vehicle has arrived at the pickup address.

As the booking is placed directly from the app, there is no waiting on hold for an operator to take the booking.  Once the driver accepts the booking the user can follow the vehicle on the map.

Brooba is the brain child of Broome Transit's Shayne Murray who created the app to get a head start on the inevitable arrival of Uber in the regions.

"There's no point lamenting the affect that changing trends in the taxi industry have on the business," Says Shayne.

"We see this as a great opportunity and are proud to present a service to Broome which should be well received by tourists and locals alike."

Shayne says Brooba was created to overcome the challenges of wait times in peak periods which can be up to an hour.

"It offers greater security of the booking from both the customer and driver's point of view as the passenger has direct contact with the driver and can see they're on the way."

Brooba is now available for download for free on Apple and Android.  For further information go to www.brooba.com.au.
