Broome Visitor Centre wins sustainability grant

The Broome Visitor Centre was one of 36 regional visitor centres to recently have received a funding boost through the latest round of the Regional Visitor Centre Sustainability Grant Program, made possible by Tourism Western Australia and Royalties for Regions.

Through the program, the State Government is investing $4.2 million over three years to help visitor centres remain viable in the changing tourism landscape.

More than $1 million was available in the 2016-17 round to assist regional visitor centres throughout the State with sustainability initiatives such as accreditation, renewable energy, on-site attractions, technology and interior redesign.
