Cable Beach Club invites Broome businesses to join them in not using term 'wet season'

Written on the 5 November 2017

Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa embraced the opportunity of hosting a business after hours with partners Virgin Australia and Singapore Airlines to deliver a message that encourages tourism to use the additional Virgin services over the summer to their advantage.  The Club has endorsed to replace any reference of 'Wet Season' with 'Summer Season' in order to dispel any negative perceptions that potential guests may have over the 'wet' terminology.

Delivering the message was Sales Manager for the Club Carol McCracken who said, "Referring to the 'Summer season' assists us in sending the message that Broome is open for business over the summer period and we welcome tourism business during this time."

The sentiments echo that of a gathering of tourism businesses during a recent business breakfast where it was requested that the Broome Tourism Leadership Group gain endorsement of all local businesses to stop using the term 'wet season'.

The patriarch of Broome's tourism industry, Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa holds dear to the hearts and minds of. Broome locals, and current owners Hawaiian Property Group are committed to honouring its legacy.

"Hawaiian are committed to maintaining the highest standards of the Resort, with continued investment in new product offerings into the future, the latest being new restaurant Cichetti Club,  a place to come together to share a modern Italian meal with heart and flavour.  And the Kichi Kichi - a fun, fresh, contemporary Asian eatery, perfect for meals with family and friends.

And while guests will spend thousands to fly to Broome especially for a holiday at the Club, Broome residents are reminded that this world class holiday destination is in their own back yard with the Club offering extraordinary rates for locals this Summer starting from $199 per night.

"The team at Cable Beach Club value Broome local businesses and the strong relationship we have with the Broome community.  If we can assist you with accommodation requests, Christmas parties and special events, lunch and dinner bookings or gift vouchers, please contact one of our friendly team at any time," Says Carol.
