Callout for Indigenous entrepreneurs ready to start business

IBA's Start-up workshops are for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who have a well thought through and researched business proposal and who would like to fine tune their plan in meeting the needs of their customers, financers, investors, partners or supporters.

At the workshop you will work with a business specialist and IBA staff to investigate and apply key concepts of marketing, finance and general management to support and strengthen your business proposal. You will be introduced to the Business Model Canvas and create a one page document to assist you in clearly outlining the building blocks of your proposal.

You will also hear about what a financier or investor looks for in a proposal and what they will expect from you once you start your business. At the end of the workshop you will have a clearer and refined business model, will be able to pitch your business proposal to lenders, partners or investors and know what next steps are required to launch your business.
