Chamber seeking sponsors for Morgan's Camp revitalisation

Chamber members James Brown, Rob Houston, Laszlo Bartucz and Chris Mitchell joined Environs Kimberley on Sunday morning to help clean up Morgan's Camp in the first of several steps to revitalise the heritage listed area.

Within 1 hour the skip bin, donated by ToxFree was full to the brim, showing an indication of the derelict state the iconic shack and its surrounds are in.

The Broome Chamber is hoping to raise $5,000 for the revitalisation of Morgan's Camp in collaboration with the local community.  The money would be used toward restoration of the historically listed shack and further removal of rubbish and debris with plans to re-activate the space with aboriginal storytelling and crafts.

If you're interested in supporting this effort please contact Jael Napper at ceo@broomechamber.com.au.
