Community joins to clean up Town beach foreshore

Clean Up Australia Day on Sunday 6 March was celebrated in Broome with a joint community venture to clean up the Roebuck Bay foreshore from Town Beach.

Organised by Conservation Volunteers alongside Environs Kimberley and supported by BCCI, the effort was attended by 25 volunteers including Chamber members from Realmark Real Estate and Town Bus Service wtih a skip generously donated by Toxfree.

Volunteers worked their way from Town Beach past the Catalina's for two hours filling an estimated 50 bags of rubbish - comprised mainly of broken glass.

An incredibly rewarding effort for all who participated, further clean up events will be held several times throughout the year with all community members invited to participate.
