Crop research project aims to grow farm profitWritten on the 31 October 2017 An $11.7 million agricultural research project will investigate cropping systems for growing cotton, grain and forage in the Ord Valley. The Northern Australia Crop Research Alliance received $3 million last week towards the initiative after a successful application by the Ord River District Cooperative for the grant. The Federal money came out of the first round of funding from the Cooperative Research Centre for Developing Northern Australia.
