Cruise Broome trials Dampier Tce drop off for Pacific Eden this weekend

The Pacific Eden with 1500 passengers will return to Broome this weekend for a 2 day visit allowing passengers to attend the races on Saturday and explore the town on Sunday.

Having visited Broome five times this year alone, the management of Pacific Eden rely on Broome to deliver an experience which meets high expectations of its passengers, as such they have allowed an additional shuttle stop at Cable Beach, and they have worked with Cruise Broome to now trial a drop off in Chinatown at Dampier Terrace as opposed to the Roey carpark.

Cruise Broome coordinator Kim Briggs said, "In recent weeks the current location in Roebuck Hotel car park has become increasingly difficult for coach drivers with traffic congestion surrounding Carnarvon Street and within Roebuck Hotel, this trial is to identify a safer system for passengers and coach drivers and a further step towards our bigger goal creating a safe and welcoming coach arrival area within Chinatown which can be utilised for cruise ship passengers and other coach companies.

"This is a trial only and will run over the two days with Shire permission granted for these specific dates only at this stage.  Due to limited space and to ensure we are not negatively impacting surrounding businesses, there will be only Cruise Broome volunteers and a Broome Visitor Centre representative to meet, greet and direct passengers at initial drop off area.:

The drop off location will be along Dampier Terrace in a dedicated roped off area in front of Galwey Pearls, between Roebuck Hotel and the south gate entry of Johnny Chi Lane.

Saturday 17th 1:00PM-7:00PM / Sunday 18th 8:00AM-4:00PM.
