Cruise Broome updatesWritten on the 22 February 2017 BROOME PORT FLAGS ON OFFER TO LOCAL BUSINESS Cruise Broome is calling for local tourism businesses to help fly the flags at the Broome Port on cruise ship days. With the old flags deteriorated beyond repair, new ones are being created to offer a fanfare to passengers as they arrive in Broome. Businesses are encouraged to submit expressions of interest to own a flag, with branding and artwork an opportunity to make a first impression to passengers before arriving in town. The 307.5cm x 100cm flags are on offer for $300+gst with artwork to the discression of it's business. The flags follow several initiatives to increase the 'first impression' of passengers to Broome, including the successful scenery wrapped container, port beautification and soon to come a welcome camel from Red Sun. Expressions of interest to own a flag should be sent to Kim Briggs. CRUISE BROOME TOURS NOW ON SHIPS Princess and P&O will now sell three additional Broome tours to passengers on the ship, created by Cruise Broome. The tours have been created in consultation with Shore Excursion management agency Intercruises to who seek to offer more experiences for sale on ships. The bespoke tours include: Narlijia Heritage Tour Take a step back in time on this guided tour through Broome. Join Bart Pigram as he describes the landscape and Yawuru people's place within it, introducing you to the language and cultural heritage of the area. Visit the Ngula Jarndu Women's Arts and Resource Centre and finish the tour enjoying a taste of Broome's local staple 'fish soup & rice' and listening to live acoustic music at the Runway Bar. Kaleidoscope of Broome Climb on-board our air-conditioned coach tour to explore Broome as only the locals know it. In this 3-hour tour you will see the very essence of Broome.
