BROOME PORT FLAGS ON OFFER TO LOCAL BUSINESS

Cruise Broome is calling for local tourism businesses to help fly the flags at the Broome Port on cruise ship days.  With the old flags deteriorated beyond repair, new ones are being created to offer a fanfare to passengers as they arrive in Broome.  Businesses are encouraged to submit expressions of interest to own a flag, with branding and artwork an opportunity to make a first impression to passengers before arriving in town.

The 307.5cm x 100cm flags are on offer for $300+gst with artwork to the discression of it's business.

The flags follow several initiatives to increase the 'first impression' of passengers to Broome, including the successful scenery wrapped container, port beautification and soon to come a welcome camel from Red Sun.

Expressions of interest to own a flag should be sent to Kim Briggs.

Take a step back in time on this guided tour through Broome.  Join Bart Pigram as he describes the landscape and Yawuru people's place within it, introducing you to the language and cultural heritage of the area.  Bart retells tales of the town's pearling history, stories of Sun Pictures, Johnny Chi Lane and the opium dens, brothels and gambling houses of the lively, chaotic and lawless Broome of the early 1900's.  Visit the Ngula Jarndu Women's Arts and Resource Centre and finish the tour enjoying a taste of Broome's local staple 'fish soup & rice' and listening to live acoustic music at the Runway Bar.

Kaleidoscope of Broome

Climb on-board our air-conditioned coach tour to explore Broome as only the locals know it.  In this 3-hour tour you will see the very essence of Broome.  See the particular natural beauty including the famous Cable Beach, learn about the town's diverse history and culture with a visit to the Japanese and Chinese cemetery and extended time at Broome Historical Museum.  Discover how the world-famous South Sea Australian Pearl is cultivated and harvested on your guided tour of Cygnet Bay Pearling Pioneers Exhibition.

Cable Beach sunset with champagne and nibbles.

Cruise Broome is pleased to partner with the Broome Surf Life Saving Club to offer this exclusive experience to cruise ship passengers.  I'm in heaven! I'm sitting on Cable Beach in Broome, Champagne in hand and watching an amazing sunset.  Every evening about 5pm, everyone heads to Cable Beach to watch the sunset. Take your coach directly from the pier to your exclusive area on the grass overlooking Cable Beach. Tour includes 2 Glasses of Champange or 2 local crafted Matso's Beers with cheese and biscuits.
