Federal Election: Campaign policy update

The 2016 Federal Election will take place on Saturday, 2 July, 2016.

In addition to commitments detailed in the 2016-17 Commonwealth Budget, the Coalition Government has announced a number of election commitments in the first four weeks of the campaign period. These include: 

  • Infrastructure and Transport
  • Health and Aged Care
  • Education
  • Environment and Water
  • Trade and Foreign Affairs 
  • Social Services and Housing
  • Innovation
  • Defence
  • Tourism and Regional Development
  • Aboriginal Affairs
  • Jobs and Employment
  • Agriculture and Water
  • Infrastructure
