Frank Wilson leads Quintis board spill bid

Former Quintis chief executive Frank Wilson has jointly requisitioned an extraordinary shareholders meeting of the sandalwood company to spill its board.

A Wilson family company, Domenica Nominees, has combined with fellow Quintis investors John and Nerita Allen to call a meeting under Section 249D of the Corporations Act with the intention of dumping chairman Dalton Gooding, chief executive Julius Matthys and non-executive director John Groppoli.

Mr Allen flagged the meeting last month, saying the dissidents included six of Quintis' top-20 shareholders and could marshal 20 per cent of the besieged company, including Mr Wilson's 12.5 per cent stake.

A week earlier, he was amongst a group of shareholders at the company's annual meeting who berated the Quintis board about the group's financial plight.
