Help Ben McInnes get to England!

Written on the 12 February 2016 by Broome Chamber of Commerce

Help Ben McInnes get to England! Ben McInnes has been chosen by the Lord Taverner's to go to England in April 2016 to play cricket for six months.

This is an incredible opportunity for Ben and even more so considering he was virtually  bedridden at 15 needing the use of a mobility scooter after being miss diagnosed for 10 years with a rare form of arthritis causing cysts to grow  between the joints and in the bones.

Through a great rheumatologist and Ben's resilience he decided that this wasn't going to be the life for him and set the goal of playing cricket in England one day.

Ben has gone from being an inactive boy at 15, almost written off and told he would most probably never work full time or play sport again to now being nearly 20 years of age, working full time, loving life but most of all playing cricket once again.

The arthritis will always be there but through medication and sheer determination he will not let it beat him.

As part of the Lord Taverners scholarship Ben must also fund raise to help with his trip. Ben has already been saving and will continue to do so but if anyone would like to donate a contribution it will be greatly appreciated and will help Ben realise his dream to get play Cricket in England.

Anyone who would like to contribute to this amazing opportunity can access the go fund me link at: https://de.gofund.me/qkgcdawk&rcid=2d7a189717844abe97fe1072bf81b3ca

As always, your support is greatly appreciated.
