Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures triumphant at Tourism AwardsWritten on the 12 November 2017  "Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures triumphant at Tourism Awards") Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures reigned triumphant at the WA Tourism Awards last night, taking out two golds and a silver, as well as the coveted Sir David Brand Award for Tourism, continuing its legacy as one of the nation's leading tourist businesses. The highest accolade of the evening, Horizontal Falls was awarded the Sir David Brand award for their continual commitment to increasing visitor numbers to the Kimberley and providing visitors with a truly unique and breathtaking experience. The awards, a black-tie gala hosted by the Tourism Council WA, was held at Crown Metropol featuring the best of WA's tourism businesses. Horizontal Falls was joined by four fellow Broome businesses who were awarded for excellence in tourism, including Kooljaman at Cape Leveque, Narlijia Tours, Willie Creek Pearls and Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa taking out a total of ten awards. Gold winners will progress to the represent the state in the national Tourism Awards which will be held at Perth Stadium in February. Capping off a weekend of celebrations for Broome's businesses, the Tourism Awards followed the WA Regional Small Business Awards where five local businesses were acknowledged including Kullarri Building, Footprint Cleaning, Optimise HR, Hydrokleen Broome and Life and Soul Health and Fitness Club.The Broome Chamber was thrilled to attend both events and wishes to congratulate all businesses who took the time and effort to represent at the awards. "The amount of Broome-based businesses represented on a state level at the tourism and small business awards is testament to the exceptional product and service that our industry has to offer," said Jael Napper of the Broome Chamber. "The Broome Small Business Awards will be held in May next year and we encourage everyone with fewer than 20 FTE's to consider applying."It's understandable that many small business owners are too busy to write award submissions, but we remind everyone that there are some great submission writers in Broome who offer their expertise in this area and worth considering."
