Inaugural Shinju Fringe announced May 13 to 15Written on the 7 April 2016 ARTISTS - YUM CHA - GINGER BEER: The Shinju Fringe weekend is coming! The inaugural Shinju Fringe festival will launch Friday 13 May with a special performance by Sammy the Dragon and the Wasamba Drummers, whose unique beat will kick-off the weekend. On Saturday night 14 May, Broome's iconic Chinatown will be a buzz with the all-you-can-eat Shinju Fringe Yum Cha. A collaboration between local Chinese chefs and WA Food Ambassador Don Hancey, will be serving up a fantastic selection of authentic Chinese food and free pour Chinese Green Tea! There will be a cash bar and tickets are $60 for adults and $45 for children. Throughout the whole weekend, the town will be able to take a wander along the Artist Open House Trail, where local artists will open their homes and studios to showcase world-class creations.To wrap it all up, festival goers are invited to the famous Matso's Brewery on Sunday 15 May to try their famous 'Broome Gold' Ginger Beer and toast to the closing of the inaugural Shinju Fringe.
