INPEX pipe stretching across north Australia's coastline almost gas-ready A newly-constructed pipeline stretching 890 kilometres across the north Australian coastline will soon be gas-ready.

Workers on INPEX's Ichthys LNG project near Darwin, finalised welding of the onshore section of the pipeline this week, which took more than four years to complete.

Gas will be transported from the Browse Basin, north of the Kimberley, to the processing plant at Blaydin Point.

"It's nearly gas-ready," he said.
