KAI targeting quinoa exports to China and new grain grading facility in Kununurra The company developing stage two of the Kimberley's Ord Irrigation Scheme is aiming to plant between 600 and 800 hectares of quinoa this year, with plans to export the health food crop to China for the first time.

Kimberley Agricultural Investment (KAI) exported chia to China last year and with the help of its parent company, Shanghai Zhongfu, is now looking to introduce quinoa to the Chinese market.
