KLC makes top 5 in latest ORIC report with annual income $33.5m Indigenous business is booming, with the latest top 500 snapshot of the sector showing an 8.2 per cent income rise to $1.88 billion a year.

The publication of the list comes in the wake of questions about whether government and non-government organisation funding in the sector is being ­adequately analysed, with a ­Centre for Independent Studies report last month finding a lack of accountability for $5.9bn of spending.

The Kimberley Land Council with 111 employees was reported to be up 4.4% on last FY with an annual income of $33,473,272.  It will hold its AGM tomorrow in Warmun Community.
