KTI to become North Regional TAFE from April 11Written on the 18 March 2016 by Broome Chamber of Commerce Kimberley Training Institute (KTI) will be amalgamating with Pilbara Institute of Technology (PI) next month to form North Regional TAFE. These changes will come into effect on 11 April as part of a State Government push to strengthen the TAFE brand and encourage greater collaboration across WA. North Regional TAFE will encompass KTI's six campuses in Broome, Derby, Fitzroy Crossing, Halls Creek, Kununurra and Wyndham, and PI's six campuses in Karratha, Pundulmurra, South Hedland, Roebourne, Newman and Tom Price. KTI Director Karen Dickinson said, " We can reassure our students that these changes will have little impact on their studies, and each will continue to have access to training and education at their current campus. "The changes will also give us an opportunity to strengthen our collaboration and sharing of resources between campuses, which will lead to more diverse training opportunities for our students into the future."
