LNG curbs put dent in confidence: Inpex chief

The Federal Government should be careful about curbing LNG exports because of the potential long-term damage to overseas markets, the head of Inpex in Australia has warned.

Seiya Ito said "loudly announced" restrictions on exports to deal with a gas shortage on the east coast could dent the confidence of Australia's image with Japanese buyers as a stable LNG supplier.
