McGowan expelled from Broome High There were awkward scenes in Broome [last week], as Opposition Leader Mark McGowan was asked to leave the area in front of Broome Senior High School in the middle of a press conference.

In the midst of a hot and humid day in which political staffers from Perth sweated it out in their city garb McGowan called a press conference at the carpark in front of a local high school.

But he hadn't sought permission, and politicising government-funded schools is a no-no on the campaign trail.

As the sheepish-looking deputy principal approached, Mr McGowan pulled up mid-spiel.
