Minister flags R4R 'disappointment'Written on the 21 June 2017 Regional projects in funding limbo will not know their fate until September's State Budget, with the Government warning some must miss out to fix the State's finances. Regional Development Minister Alannah MacTiernan told the Times her Government inherited an "appalling" Budget situation and she could not bankrupt the State. "Of course, there's going to be an enormous amount of disappointment," she said. Ms MacTiernan said the Budget review of Royalties for Regions projects was not an "attack on the bush" but "a discipline we're going to have to impose across Government". "All of us are going to have to share the pain," she said. "We are very, very conscious that there are projects that are going to have to be delayed because we're reviewing them."
