Mustering the whole community for the future of Broome
  •  Broome Makers Cluster Muster: 29 June 2016, 12.30-5pm, Broome Civic Centre.
  • Open event for the whole community.
  • 'Open Day' for the Broome Growth Plan.
  • Showcase of work carried out to date with local industry leaders.
  • Community to provide input into the direction of the town.
  • Made possible by Royalties for Regions.

The Broome Makers Cluster Muster will be held on June 29 at Jimmy Chi Hall in the Broome Civic Centre, from 12.30-5pm, and is an open event for everyone who lives and works in Broome and surrounding communities.

The Cluster Muster is a community event with a difference. It will be an 'open day' for the Broome Growth Plan, to bring together people from all sections of the community to help shape Broome's economic future.

The Broome Growth Plan Partnership has been working hard with leaders from Broome's eight industry 'Clusters' (Food Production, Tourism, Broome Business, Minerals & Energy, Education & Training, Health & Wellbeing, Arts & Culture and Youth) in recent weeks, and will be sharing the results of workshops and planning sessions.

The Cluster Muster gives community members the chance to give feedback and get involved in the planning process in a concrete way. It will also include the People's Choice vote for the Broome Makers Competition, which aims to contribute to the region's next wave of entrepreneurs with coaching and seed funding.

Everyone is encouraged to come along and get involved. There are fun activities throughout the day, including a sausage sizzle, music and plenty of opportunities to network with local people and businesses.

The Broome Growth Plan is part of the State Government's Regional Centre Development Plan, made possible by the Royalties for Regions program. For more information about the Broome Makers Cluster Muster or the Broome Growth Plan, visit www.broomegrowthplan.com.au.
