Perth to Broome air passenger numbers plummet

Regional air travel to some of WA's key destinations has fallen dramatically since January last year.

The Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics reported flights between Perth and Broome had experienced a 29.2 per cent drop, with only 15,400 passengers making the flight in January 2017.

From 2015 through to 2017, Broome experienced a 4.7 per cent drop, with 305,400 passengers in the 2015-2016 period, to 291,000 passengers in 2016-2017
