Prendiville resigns Tourism WA boardWritten on the 2 July 2017 The Governor of Western Australia has today appointed Nathan Harding as the new Tourism Western Australia Board Chairman.A successful wholesale travel business owner and board member since 2012, Mr Harding has a comprehensive understanding of the role of the Western Australian Tourism Commission, placing him in the best position to facilitate the delivery of tourism outcomes for the State. Tourism Minister Paul Papalia today also welcomed Manny Papadoulis, Karen Priest, Linda Wayman and Kevin Brown to the Tourism WA board.Mr Papalia said the new appointments would bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the commission. Mr Papadoulis, the current president of the Tourism Council of WA, is an expert in small business tourism development and has extensive networks within the industry. He will take on the role as deputy chairman.
As an Australian Hotels Association Executive Level Manager Award recipient, Ms Priest has extensive experience in hotel management, sales and marketing and corporate governance. The Minister thanked outgoing board members, Peter Prendiville, Howard Cearns, Alistair Donald and Neville Poelina for their years of service.
