Prendiville resigns Tourism WA board

The Governor of Western Australia has today appointed Nathan Harding as the new Tourism Western Australia Board Chairman.

A successful wholesale travel business owner and board member since 2012, Mr Harding has a comprehensive understanding of the role of the Western Australian Tourism Commission, placing him in the best position to facilitate the delivery of tourism outcomes for the State.

Tourism Minister Paul Papalia today also welcomed Manny Papadoulis, Karen Priest, Linda Wayman and Kevin Brown to the Tourism WA board. 

Mr Papalia said the new appointments would bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the commission. 

Mr Papadoulis, the current president of the Tourism Council of WA, is an expert in small business tourism development and has extensive networks within the industry. He will take on the role as deputy chairman.

As an Australian Hotels Association Executive Level Manager Award recipient, Ms Priest has extensive experience in hotel management, sales and marketing and corporate governance.

Mr Brown is currently chief executive officer of Perth Airport and brings proficient skills in aviation and senior management to the board.

Former Telstra Business Woman of the Year, Ms Wayman is employed in the media and has widespread experience in sales and marketing, events management and small business.

The Minister thanked outgoing board members, Peter Prendiville, Howard Cearns, Alistair Donald and Neville Poelina for their years of service.
