Remote Kimberley polling schedule revealed

Written on the 16 February 2017

The schedule for the crucial period of remote polling for the Kimberley has been released and will start next week.

The communities, hospitals and prisons which make up the voting category of "special institutions and mobile polling places" traditionally leans in favour of Labor.

At the 2013 election 60 per cent of votes from the classification were in favour of Labor member for the Kimberley Josie Farrer who attributed her win to the remote results.

This year mobile polling kicks off in the Kimberley at Kalumburu on February 25.

It's one of 58 mobile polling destinations on the WA Electoral Commission's touring list from February to election day.
