Not only is non-restraint use a state-wide road safety priority, Kimberley regional road crash statistics indicate it is also a significant issue at a local level.  Seat belts were not worn in 31% of KSI crashes from 2004-2013 in the Kimberley region. The region is ranked as one of the worst KSI rate for motor vehicle occupants who were unrestrained.
