Sheffield Resources update on Thunderbird Mineral Sands Project

Sheffield Resources have released an update of their world class Thunderbird Mineral Sands Project.

Sheffield  is  undertaking  a  Bankable  Feasibility  Study  and  Public  Environmental  Review  of  its Thunderbird  Project,  scheduled  for  completion  in  2017.  Sheffield  envisages  a financial  investment decision  (FID) and  start  of  construction  in  2017,  and  subsequently  first  exports  through  the  ports  of Derby and Broome are notionally planned for 2019, following execution of sales contracts/agreements.

Successful development of the project will see Sheffield mine and process zircon and titanium minerals (ilmenite, leucoxene) for export to global markets potentially in Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
