SHEFFIELD WELCOMES RECRUITS TO THUNDERBIRD PROGRAM

Sheffield Resources has welcomed the first recruits to its Thunderbird Construction Work Ready Program being delivered by the Winun Ngari and Nirrumbuk Aboriginal Corporations.

The 16-week program has started, and the two groups will meet shortly for a five-day 'My River Camp' at the Balginjirr community, 70km south of Derby.

The work-ready program is designed to provide Aboriginal people with job ready skills plus the opportunity for employment during the construction phase of Sheffield's Thunderbird Mineral Sands project.

Twenty successful applicants have joined the program, including four local women.
