Show your support for Broome's small businesses tomorrow - Small Business Day!

Tomorrow - Saturday 28 October, small businesses throughout Western Australia will receive the recognition they deserve and exemplify how significant their contribution is to the WA economy.

WA Small Business Day celebrates the thousands of small business operators and entrepreneurs, who have the courage and dedication to supply diverse products, employ local staff and contribute greatly to the social fabric of our society.

Small Business Matters is an initiative developed for the greater good of the small business sector; a movement not owned by anyone but rather owned by everyone!

WA Small Business Day has been created to:

·           INCREASE THE PROFILE AND AWARENESS of the small business sector in WA.

·           CELEBRATE AND RECOGNISE the contribution that small business makes to WA.

·           ENCOURAGE CONSUMERS to make a conscious decision to THINK SMALL FIRST and support small business enterprise.

In 2017, WA Small Business Day welcomes again our Premium Supporting Partner, Bankwest. Through this partnership and your assistance, we aim to create more awareness and action around such an important sector of our community.

The Broome Chamber asks everyone to make an effort tomorrow to show their appreciation to a small business, either in-person or online.  The Chamber has posted a video on our facebook page which we invite you to like and share or send a special message yourself.

On behalf of Broome we thank every small business for working hard and contributing to our community.

Think Small First Competition for shoppers and small businesses!

From this Saturday 28 October until 10 December, Small Business Matters is running a state-wide shopper competition to help celebrate our small business sector.

Small businesses are also invited to get involved to encourage people to Think Small First!

By spending at least $10 at a participating small business and entering online, shoppers can go in the draw to win $2,000. T&C's apply. Who doesn't need that in the lead up to Christmas?

Shoppers can locate their local participating small businesses at the Small Business Matters shopper map: - http://smallbusinessmatters.net.au/page/small-business-locator

Register your local small business!

Small businesses are encouraged to register and provide a special offer to be part of the initiative. Registration is easy via: http://smallbusinessmatters.net.au/add-listing

When a small business registers they will receive a promotional pack.  They can register at any time during the campaign.

For every small business that registers and submits a special small business offer, they will go in the draw to win $500 for their small business.  Terms and conditions apply.

Thanks to Bankwest for supporting this awesome competition.  Let's Think Small First in the lead up to Christmas.
