Turnbull on infrastructure: State should sign up to NAIF

With the development of the north in the sights of federal government, Turnbull also took the opportunity to remind the room that it had committed $52.5m to seal and realign 90km of Cape Leveque Road.

"We're committed to infrastructure, for cattle, pastoral, tourism and resources industries," he said.

"But there's lots more to do - I was talking to the Premier yesterday (I should say very cordial and friendly despite some of the media reports) and we want to invest more in infrastructure for WA.

"We encourage the WA government to sign up to the $5bn Northern Australian Infrastructure Facility which could unlock more potential investment here in Broome and across the Kimberley."
