Virgin axes Perth-Derby flights as Derby West Kimberley Shire considers air service alternatives The Shire of Derby West Kimberley says it is examining options for reinstating air services between Perth and Derby.

Regular Virgin flights have been cancelled from today, with the last flights departing at the weekend.

Virgin said it could no longer provide the service because it had been operating at a loss due to a significant drop in patronage.
