Waringarri art gallery offering cultural tours A local art gallery is offering fresh insight into Aboriginal history by expanding its core business to include cultural tours.

Waringarri Aboriginal Arts hopes to capitalise on tourists' fascination with indigenous culture by running morning and sunset guided trips.

The new enterprise, Waringarri Tours, also gives locals the chance to explore their own "backyard" and hear stories about traditional connections to sites in and around Kununurra.

Lead tour guide Chris Griffiths, a Miriwoong man who lives in the town, said he was keen to share some of his family's history with visitors and locals.

"We are getting some really positive feedback and our visitor book has so many good comments," he said.
