We need a hero! Chamber pledges bronze statue to saviour of Broome Christmas Party in 2017Written on the 7 September 2017 The Broome Chamber is seeking expressions of interest from the business community to help save Christmas in 2017. It has released several category sponsors, with a one-off naming rights HERO sponsorship of $10,000 with a bronze statue erected in honour of the business or individual. The Chamber was happy to receive a fabulous response to the Christmas Party in Chinatown in 2016, however did so at a significant cost which it cannot afford this year. Despite issues of warning that it is not in a possition to take it on this year, the Chamber was concerned that no other community body had stepped up to deliver the Christmas party in Chinatown this year. Jael Napper said, "it's a shame when Christmas becomes about money, but we're all realistic that times are tough and there's only so much we can all afford in the current climate. "Last year's event was so beautiful, a true community celebration and an absolute joy to be part of. "I'm happy to donate my personal time, and the Chamber's resources to making sure the event happens this year and we'll do as much as we can with the money which we're able to raise." Interested parties are invited to look at the sponsorship categories below and contact Jael direct with any enquiries. |
