Yane wins Aust. Institute Professional Photography award second year running

Broome photographer Yane Sotiroski is celebrating a brilliant achievement after winning the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) Western Australian Commercial Photographer of the Year Award for the second year in a row.

The awards celebrate creativity and innovation in image making.

A well known Broome local, Yane's career began in a mini lab developing film and he attributes Kerry Stokes as a key influencer in his career.

Yane said, " I'll always remember that time I met Kerry Stokes and he lent me his camera to use for such a long time. That concreted my love for photography, especially landscapes."
