Science on the Broome Coast: Kimberley tides and ocean circulation

Professor Ryan Lowe, a coastal ocweanographer from the University of WA joins astronomer Greg Quick from Astro Tours to present studies on the tides and ocean circulation along the Kimberley Coast.

 

The king of all Australian tides occurs in the West Kimberley.  Hear Professor Ryan Lowe and Greg Quick with the help of telescopes on the beach explain the lunar and geographical influences on the tides in Broome and the Kimberley coast.
