An ecologist from the University of Sydney, Georgia WArd works on the cane toad frontline. She recently started teaching wild goannas not to eat cane toads. The cane toad invasion is marching westward through the Kimberley and imperilling many native species, such as the Yellow-spotted Floodplain Monitor.
Learn about research to mitigate cane toad impacts, why Balanggarra Rangers are teaching wild goannas to avoid cane toads and how vital Yellow-spotted Monitors are in the local ecology.
Hear Georgia speak at University of Notre Dame, Multi-purpose hall.
