Kimberley MLC lands Cabinet portfolios

After one term in State Parliament a former Labor staffer born in Ireland who has spent the past four years travelling from the Kimberley to Karratha, Perth and Kalgoorlie finds himself a minister in the new WA Government.

Stephen Dawson picked up the portfolios of Environment and Disability Services when Premier Mark McGowan announced his Cabinet.

He was also given the title of Deputy Leader in the Upper House.
